The Alturas Institute ("Alturas," "we," "us") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization based in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This policy explains what information we collect through alturasinstitute.com, our email and text message programs, and our events, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, mobile phone number, city or region, and anything you send us through forms, event registrations, the chat widget, or email.
- Purchase and membership information: if you buy a course or membership, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment details. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Automatic information: basic technical data such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate location, collected through standard website analytics and cookies.
How we use your information
- To tell you about Dr. David Adler's talks, Constitutional Conversations, courses, and other Alturas programs near you.
- To send event reminders by email and, if you opt in, by text message.
- To deliver courses and memberships you purchase.
- To answer your questions and improve our programs and website.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number and check the consent box, you agree to receive recurring text messages from The Alturas Institute about upcoming talks and events. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, such as our email and text messaging platform, payment processor, and website host, and only as needed to provide those services, or when required by law.
