Jody Williams is an American political activist who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997 along with the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, which she helped found in 1992. Williams co-founded the Nobel Women’s Initiative in 2006. Her work includes disarmament, environmental and social justice, and women, peace and security issues.
